On 1 February 2021, the Tatmadaw—Myanmar’s armed forces deposed the democratically elected government of AungSan Suu Kyi. 1 year has passed and the junta headed by General Min Aung Hlaing has ruthlessly held on to power.

On 5th August 2022, the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians celebrate the 150th anniversary of the inauguration! It is hard to believe that only 150 years have passed since St Maria Mazzarello took that great leap of faith; one that has grown to over 11,000 Salesian sisters worldwide!
